As you can see, the train starts at London's Liverpool Street, and goes through Stratford, Romford, Shenfield, Billericay, Wickford, Battlesbridge, Woodham Ferrers, Fambridge, Althorne, Burnham-on-Crouch and finally to Southminster. Off-peak, it is possible to get direct trains from London, but at other times it may be necessary to change twice - once at Shenfield and another time at Wickford. Some fast trains in the evening make a first-stop at Wickford.
