How you can help improve the Southminster Branch Line
Here are a few suggestions of things that you can do that will improve the line.- Fill in the Rail Passenger Council's survey about the effect of the new timetable changes
- Phone the person dealing with rail travel at Essex County Council and ask how they can approve a new timetable that gives us less trains. The number to phone is 01245 435772.
- Let your MP know you are unhappy about the line. Ask him if there is anything he can do, or suggest you can do.
- Contact 'one' to make a complaint.
- If you are unhappy with the reply you get from 'one', then (and only then) write to the Rail Passengers Council, asking for their opinion.
- Get a petition going, and ask people to sign it. Send it to your MP and to 'one'
- Write a leaflet and distribute it to passengers. Don't copy the flyer I wrote as lots of people have seen that. Make yours as different as possible, and try to get as many copies as possible distributed.
- Copy me letters, and replies and I'll add them to the web site if you wish
- Add a link this sites home page on any website(s) you administer. This will increase the search rankings of this site in the search engines such as Google. Then hopefully more people will read this site and more people will do something about the line. The number of visitors is increasing each month.
